H.K Wentworth are the sole official distributor for genuine Hakko products in the UK and Ireland. We do not actually have a minimum order quantity, however we do ask for a Minimum Order Value of £250 (excluding shipping) for any orders placed directly with us. If you need to place an order below this please contact us and we will direct you to an authorised reseller.
Yes absolutely. We are an authorised distributor of Hakko products in the UK and we import all our products directly from Hakko Corporation in Japan. You can purchase from our site with complete confidence.
We hold as much stock as possible on all popular Hakko lines, however in some cases we may run out of stock. If this is case, we will order the parts for you directly from Hakko Corporation in Japan. Due to the time it takes to ship from Japan, your lead time for a back ordered item is up to 20 weeks depending on when the next order is due for delivery.
Due to the complex and fluid nature of post BREXIT customs tariffs we are unfortunately unable to offer an ecommerce function in Euro’s. If you are in the Republic of Ireland and would like to place an order, please contact us directly by email and we can provide you with an accurate quote including current shipping and customs fees.
We aim to deliver your order as soon as possible, if you order before 12pm Monday-Friday, your order will usually be processed and shipped the same day – (stock levels permitting). Shipping is usually 2-3 days.

Hakko guarantee to supply replacement parts for 3 years, and consumable parts such as tips for 5 years after the date of discontinuation. However, we will hold stock past this date until the stock runs out. For more information on the date of discontinuation please contact us.
As wholesale distributors we are unable to accept orders under this value, however please get in touch and we can help you find an authorised reseller of your required parts.
Payment
For the UK we accept most credit or debit cards directly via the website. If you prefer, and for all orders from the Republic of Ireland, please email us for a quote and we can send you a pro-forma invoice.

Returns
Yes, of course. You may return a faulty item within 28 days of delivery. Please contact our customer support in order to discuss the return of a faulty item and order a replacement.

Each station is different but will come with an instruction booklet. If this is not sufficient we also include a ‘maintenance’ tab on the product page that includes lots of helpful videos and tips on how to use the station and a ‘Tech Tips’ section.
Hakko Soldering irons are quick and easy to change tips, to find more information on this view the ‘maintenance’ tab on the product page.
Lead-free solder oxidizes the tip of the soldering iron four to five times as fast as eutectic solder. To read more about this view the article here
Hakko Soldering tips are built to last however over time they will corrode. We would recommend that you change tips regularly to ensure the best performance.
Over time Tips will corrode so they will need replacing, however tips can be cleaned to extend their life via a variety of methods. For best results try our range of tip cleaners such as the FT700 or FT710 combined with cleaning paste FS100. Read more on Cleaning in our ‘Tech Tips’ article
